My sister was at a local school gala and spied the Crown Lynn vase and Swan for me, she said she may have even climbed over people to get to it - at a SCHOOL GALA!!! The swan is a bit chipped but I'm not picky. A couple of hydrangea's plonked in her and you will never know.
These cute retro plates, they are half the size of a side plate so perfect for putting butter etc on them.
And look, another Retro apron! Could not go past this one. It is my favourite so far. A heavy cotton with a beautiful bird print. It is a generous size too so fits me well. May have to team with pearls as suggested by Opshop Mama........to give me Domestic Goddess powers.
Happy Op shopping!

Love the little side plates.. Can just picture them being used for after school snacks!
ReplyDeleteI love those swans...and somehow they seem perfect for Easter!
ReplyDeleteAhhh stop it!!!! Your sister did well!!! Very rare to find a swannie at an op shop gala or anywhere these days! Lucky you. It's actually one thing I don't have and would quite like. I bought one off trademe once (for an arm an leg) for one of my sister-in-law's 40th. (I don't often buy stuff on TMe actually) There's a woman in aucks who bought LOADS of them 15 or so years ago for a wedding. She then made a business hiring them out for other people's functions. Cool eh?!
ReplyDeleteLove the pretty floral design of the sideplates.
ReplyDeleteAnd yay for finding another apron. It is a sweet little one. I've had to become a bit restrained with the apron buying, there are so many pretty ones but not enough opportunities to wear them.

Great fabric! Those swans are lovely too! :) x
ReplyDeleteLove the apron - the fabric design is beautiful.

ReplyDeleteI cannot believe a swan was unearthed at a school fair! Maybe I should make more of an effort to visit them in the future. My wee swan was probably much much more expensive than that one!
