Hydrangeas - I love having them in the house. You don't need to be a florist to arrange them, instant bouquet in a vase!
Our favourite orchard has re-opened after their Christmas/New Year break. Looking forward to the golden queen peaches.
I'm going fruit and veg mad at the moment. Am changing my eating habits for the better. Bananas are my new best friend at the moment and they seem to curb my sweet tooth and need for chocolate........so far.
We have grapes growing along the fence line to the vineyard. These are table grapes and not the wine variety so will be delicious when ready.
Mementoes from our Christmas and New Year road trip sitting on the mantle-piece. Lots of lovely memories.
My Saltwater Sandals - Mr H hates them but he surprised me with a pair anyway because he knows I've been wanting a pair for ages. I was keen on the yellow or red ones but I think he chose the gold so they don't stand out as much (insert giggle). They are so comfortable and pair well with my inner granny!
Have a happy weekend!
I LOVE those sandals, very trendy at the moment! Nice to find your blog, visiting from Meghan's x

Thanks for stopping by and commenting Melissa. I love the link up. It's my bday next month so am thinking of asking Mr H for a yellow pair!
DeleteI've never been to an orchard and I'm going to add it to my To Do List! When I was little I remember going mushroom picking and berry picking... Blueberries especially! Mmmmmmm...

Great pics! You're hydrangeas are beautifully healthy! I would love some saltwaters, the only problem is living on a farm, I'd get sick of taking them on and off as I go in and out of the house all day. Mel x
ReplyDeleteHi Mel, I spend most of the day in jandals (flip flops) so it is nice to have these to pop on when I go into town. Funny to think about this now - just over 4 years ago I was living in London and in heels everyday! xo
DeleteOh how I miss our hydrangea bushes...they were an endless source of beauty.
ReplyDeleteI really miss going to the orchards on our way home from being up North, there's nothing quite like picking your own is there Elaina?
I make a totally healthy raw chocolate to curb my sweet tooth that is sweetened with dates..it's to die for..can email you the link if you are interested.

We have quite a few orchards around where we live. Alot of them supply the supermarkets and have great big crates of fruit that does not look market "pretty". They also have seconds so are great for cooking with too.
DeleteOhhhh yes please for the choc recipe Tammi - I need all the help I can get! xo
LOVE hydrangea and all your fruity loves too - I need a bit of a health kick after a little too much vino with my folks holidaying over from the UK with us at the moment!
ReplyDeleteCan totally relate regarding the vino. My sister has been staying and I have been drinking far too many glasses of bubbles. I'm on a detox now ;-) Thanks for stopping by and for your comment!
DeleteLOVE Hydrangeas!
ReplyDeleteSummer is my favourite time of year for fresh fruit & veg, mmmmm
These ones are for planning but have cleared along the front of the house where I'm going to plant a long hedge of them. Then I won't have to keep pinching them from my brothers house! Thanks for stopping by and commenting xo
DeleteOh yes the fruit and veg right now is so easy to devour isn't it! Lovely to have you link up to Things I'm Loving :-)
ReplyDeleteThank you for the Link Meghan. I loved putting it together. Looking forward to next week! xo
DeleteI love eating fruit in summer - anything else can simply be too heavy in my stomach on a hot day! Plus the best fruit comes out in December/January in Australia!

Beautiful hydrangeas, I love their colours. I think your sandals are great, nothing wrong with inner granny! :) x
ReplyDeleteLovely! :-)
ReplyDeleteHave a great weekend!

Very pretty hydrangeas.. They are one of my favourite cut flowers. Enjoy all the tasty fruit and veg. I have been trying to eat healthy again, after too many indulgent treats over Christmas.
ReplyDeleteHave a lovely weekend x

I love hydrangeas too but they struggle to grow up here in the heat. And those gold salties are spectacular- they will go with everything- clever hubby. Santa brought me the red pair, pretty much I alternate red or yellow most days, mel x ps can i ask how do you turn on the reply function to respond to comments like you are, have been wanting to do it for ages but cannot find where to change the settings?
ReplyDeleteHi Mel - I'm so untechie sorry - I have no idea, it has always been like that. Try asking Margaret from Techie Mum. She is always happy to answer anything Techie! www.techiemum.com. She is one of my lovely readers and will definately be able to help! xo
DeleteHa! I have the gold salties too and K says they are the ugliest things he's seen! Guess they're not terribly sexy - but yes, oh so comfortable...My blue hydrangeas are turning lovely antique shades of green and soft pink (coming to their end)...Lovely snippets....Thanks for your comment - lovely to discover your space x
ReplyDeleteLovely sandals and your hydrangeas would make me happy too. I've been trying to have more fresh fruit and vegetables since the start of this year too - bananas seem to be a good afternoon snack that keep me from snacking around dinner time :)
ReplyDeleteI love the sandals! And your avocadoes look perfect. PERFECT. Yum. We were just discussing our sole hydrangea today, and saying how its kinda ugly until it flowers, and then its just beautiful. Popped on over from Things I'm Loving :)
ReplyDeleteI love your hydrangeas they are such a beautiful flower. And I love your sandals I've been eyeing off a pair of those too, I'm sure my hubby would be exactly like yours too:) Thanks so much for popping by and saying hi. Have a wonderful week.
ReplyDeleteLove the sandals, too. I also love Birkenstocks. It's better to be comfy.
ReplyDeleteI've been thinking about planting hydrangeas in our front yard. Maybe I will after all
