When I first saw this 1970's Crown Lynn Coffee pot I immediately thought of the designer Orla Kiely and her retro inspired patterns. Love at first sight for this little beauty.
It was on Trademe and was listed with some un-matching and very ugly coffee cups and saucers for $30. I emailed to ask if the seller was interested in selling just the coffee pot. Bingo! The answer was yes and he took a good chunk of $$ off the price. Still cheaper than a brand new one.
I love the mustard flower pattern that runs around the pot and textured base. I wonder though, if there were ever any coffee cans or matching cups and saucers made to go with it?
I'm hoping to come across more 1970's Crown Lynn Coffee pots to "rescue" in the near future.
Happy week to you!
It's a beauty. I love the floral design too.
