Weekending.........and an engagement ring

First night away together since we had our boys............
Luxurious hotel room. Ocean views.
Dinner at Pacifica Restaurant. Too fancy to whip the camera out and take photos of every course, I was so tempted. Everything was amazing. Then drinks at an Irish Bar with great Irish music.
Breakfast out, lots of coffee, breakfast deli platter and oven baked beans with bacon hock all served with sourdough bread. Un-interrupted paper and magazine reading, bliss.
Farmers market, wandering around the shops and streets. Savouring.

A walk along the pebble beach, not a common sight in New Zealand.

When we parked up in town, this was on the wall in front of our car........I love signs like these.

And then we found this.  After looking in a lot of jewellery shops and vintage stores we decided on this beauty.  It was one of the first ones I tried on and we kept comparing everything else to it.  Three emerald cut diamonds with three smaller diamonds either side.  I love it.........

Perfect end to a perfect getaway.

P.S.  Thank you so much for all the Best Wishes and Congratulations on my Friday Things I'm loving post.  It really means so much.  Elaina xo

Things I'm loving

I've been dying to share this news with you all week!

Mr H proposed last weekend.

After nearly seven years together, being Super Dad to Bell and two baby boys later he finally popped the question.  Like most couples we have always talked about it but had never made it "official".  We met in London when Bell was only six years old.  We have come such a long way in those nearly seven years together.

And today we head off on our first night away together since having the boys.  We are heading a couple of hours south to Napier (Art Deco Capital of NZ).  Just the two of us to celebrate, stay in a gorgeous hotel, venture out for drinks and meals and to do a spot of engagement ring hunting.  I'm hoping to find something "old" in one of the amazing antique stores in town.  Fingers crossed!

I'm looking foward to sharing photos and stories of our weekend away with you next week.

Have a wonderful weekend!
