We are still on school holidays here in NZ, and had a nice lazy afternoon at home, mainly playing outside in the cooling autumn air.
We ticked one of my garden jobs off the list - that being to make a scarecrow.
She won't win any awards at a country show but she is bright, and is modelling last seasons online shopping disaster - the cherry dress. She has green hair and wears gardening gloves and hat along with a (hopefully) bird scaring yellow scarf.
We may have to make her a mate soon for the other vegetable patch. I'm thinking a handsome chap sporting old jeans stuffed with straw and a bright checked shirt.
Bell was in hysterics when she saw our scarecrow and proceeded to Instagram her....cheeky.
Yes she is a bit funny looking, a bit wonky and quirky but the boys and I are happy with our efforts.
Here's hoping she keeps the birds away. And besides, she looks better in that cherry dress than I ever did!
A scarecrow is a scarecrow - and I am sure she will do her duty well! The air is really cooling down now isn't it? Enjoy the sun! x
