I hate bruised fruit - turns my stomach something awful. I'm always inspecting fruit before eating it and if I see it in the bin I have to cover it up, yuck!
I can only drive automatic cars, can not for the life of me learn how to drive a stick shift. I've had lessons, the works. The best I can manage is a few dismal bunny hops. I can't parallel park either.
I can turn my eyelids inside out, gross but really effective in frightening small children.
I played the piano from the age of seven till my high school years. I played the violin for a short while to but wish I knew how to play the cello.
I am not a food snob.........due to the fact that I love cheese singles (the ones in plastic wrappers) on toast, comfort food to me. See told you I was classy.
I've been wearing glasses since I was nine. I'm so used to wearing them that on the odd occasion I have contacts in I find myself still pushing them up on my nose.
I laugh LOUDLY. And when I'm nervous.
I would love more children...........Mr H is not keen. He said he would like to sleep more. Some days I am in agreement. I think I will always be broody.
Two years ago I never thought that our "trial" move to the country would be permanent. I never dreamt I would fall in love with where we are living and want to stay for a very long time. I can't believe I make jam and keep chickens!
I love an Eighties Love Ballad - one of the many good things about living in the country is that you can play music loud and sing your heart out and no one will hear you.............unless there is a courier.........standing at the window........laughing.
So there you have it. 10 random things about me. Tell me something about you. Go on you know you want too!

You should post a photo of you with your eyelids turned! Have you considered adoption or fostering? My two youngest came to live with us when they were 3 and 4. We had similar discussions about having more children but in the end the desire to give two children a home was stronger than the wish to sleep. We were lucky though, sleep was never an issue. Nothing wrong with cheese singles. I remember these being quite classy when I was a child. x
ReplyDeleteI fear that photo will come back to haunt me one day if I post it online! xo
DeleteI would love two more boys. Giving a little one a home one day would absolutely be an option. I would love a BIG house with lots of children running around xo
DeleteI love an 80s love Ballard too....and cheese slices, can't have them now I'm dairy free but yum! :) x
ReplyDeleteI can only eat cheese singles on a burger & it has to be a cheese single, maybe two. Ha, turning your eyelids inside out to scare small children, love it!
ReplyDeleteAh!!! Thanks for making me smile pal! Seriously! You are my kind of person! The kraft cheese thing and the singing and laughing loudly make life good! I feel the same way about more beans thought the Mr. like yours likes that we are finally sleeping too! Wishing you a beautiful weekend in the country where you are! That shot is amazing! Nicole xo

DeleteGreat list, Elaina. I can;t drive a stick-shift either. I've never had anyone to teach me. I love cheese on toast. I also used to like putting a cheese slice on an open kaiser roll and put it under the broiler to melt it.
ReplyDeleteI love your list, and especially agree with the singing 80's songs part!! I sing loudly (and probably out of tune!) in my car and occasionally I forget that I have the windows down and come to a stop and then suddenly realise what I am doing! I don't think that anyone has noticed, but who knows..... xx
ReplyDeleteHaha what a great entertaining list Elaina... I'll always want more children and at the same time no more... Class is overrated ;) and don't you love the surprising way life turns out? all quite exciting in it's own ways x
ReplyDeleteLove your list - I wear glasses too - since the age of 11. My ankles click when I walk up and down stairs.
ReplyDeleteHave a fabulous weekend Elaina and family.
I've been singing the Thompson Twins loudly up and down the motorway all week... I dislike soggy food and wear glasses too. And I played the piano and flute for 9 years. I am past little children - waaaay past that!
ReplyDeleteI'm with you on soggy too. I think it is from have tomato sandwiches in school lunches. By the time lunch rolled around the bread was all mushy.....gag xo
DeleteI love these random lists, yours really made me smile!
ReplyDeleteYou are most welcome xo
DeleteLove your list! Number 10 has happened to me too. I love listening to 80s power ballads way too loud! Oh, and if you want more kids, you can rent mine ;) I only got my licence 2 years ago. I always said I'd get it before I was 30, and 2 months before my birthday figured I should get on it. I got a manual licence, but according to VicRoads our car was too powerful for me to drive (even though I learnt in it and that was legal) so we had to sell it. We ended up with an auto and I don't know if I could drive manual any more.
ReplyDeleteHaha - I laughed at number 10 :-)
ReplyDeleteLove your list :-)
It was so embarrassing. I have also been sitting on the loo and one of those very tall tractors has driven past in the vineyard and I turned around and he was looking in the window.....xo
DeleteI'm with you on the loud embarrassing singing (we have a large sunroom window and I know people have seen me dancing with the little babe in my pajamas), the automatic cars (I could never star in an action movie because the cars are never automatic), and the piano - played all my life until I went to college.
ReplyDeleteI dread the day I have to drive a getaway car - when I jump in to speed off only to find it is a stick shift! xo
Deletegreat list !!! I too can only drive automatic just don't get stick shift :/ I also have worn glasses roughly from age 8 ..I LOVE LOVE 80s love ballad AND I too wish I could play the Cello !! I learnt the piano in high school but haven't played since..I love cheese on toast too but I love hard cheese :)
ReplyDeleteI told you we could be twins! xo
DeleteHi there! I'm new to your blog....I just wanted to say I giggle terribly when I'm nervous, and it is so inappropriate - giggling through my wedding vows when my husband was crying through his. Bruised bananas make me gag, and plastic cheese on toast - i only ever heard of while living in Aussie. Look forward to reading more here!
ReplyDeleteThank you for visiting. Yes the giggling is terrible. I do it when people fall over too. So very inappropriate! xo
DeleteFabulous! I loved these. Yes to the broodiness, same here to the bruised fruit, piano lessons and glasses, and most of all YES to the eighties power ballads. I adore them. Total Eclipse of the Heart by Bonnie Tyler is my favourite I think... x
ReplyDeleteOh yes, Total Eclipse is a goodie. xo
DeleteOh yes - I adore singing along to those ballads, I am slowly educating my children to like them too.
ReplyDeleteA few weeks back Tom was outside on the swing, singing his little heart out.......... "I wanna know what love isssssss, I want you to show meeeeeeeee! Priceless xo

ReplyDeleteLaugh Laugh Laughed at you singing for the courier . .. . .. .
It's probably one of the few things that Mr H and I have "issues" with. I would love to have two more boys xo
