Glimpses of our road trip to the Far North for Christmas and New Years. Time spent with my dad. Two weeks away. I really do love this beautiful part of New Zealand.
At the beach......a favourite spot.
The kids favourite place was Lake Ngatu. We came here to swim sometimes twice a day. Safe and shallow at the waters edge. A perfect place for the boys to get water confident.
A day trip to the picturesque Hokianga Harbour...........
Fish n chips by the beach..........
Stunning Opononi Beach.
And a visit to see Tane Mahuta - a 2000 year old Kauri Tree.
Happy January lovely readers! If you are in the Northern Hemisphere I hope you are staying safe and warm with all the wild weather that is about. xo
Stunning part of the country, happy holidays to you and your family, Elaina.

ReplyDeleteThat is truly breathtaking scenery there. Would love to be giving our kids their swimming lessons on the beach, but with all the snakes around the rivers the pool is the safer option right now. Happy new year!
