I've started doing a bit of huffy puffy in the evening. I'm starting off with walks and will soon hope to break into a gentle "jog". I've dusted off my sneakers and have been leaving Mr H with the kids while pooch and I jump the fence into the vineyard.
It's the perfect place to exercise. Safe, quiet, no cars or people. All that jiggling that will happen once I start jogging won't be seen by any passing eyes. Perfect for singing, cartwheels and jazz hands too.
It's been a tough week, George has not been well. There has been a doctors and A&E visit along with hours of night coughing, vomiting and unbelievable two year old behaviour. It has been hard going.
But now it's the weekend and a long weekend at that. I'm looking forward to having Mr H around a bit more to share in the parenting load. Hooray for modern day Dads!
So for me, my walks this week have been a bit of a saviour. Much needed calm in the midst of a crazy week.
I raced back to get my camera tonight. The night sky as the sun was setting was pretty spectacular.
Here's to a great weekend.
I hope you have a good one!
Sounds like you need that walk/run :) I hope George is feeling better soon! I just put my girl to bed with a high temp too :(... Well done to you for breaking out into jogging! I would love to join you but I think I'd be too distracted by that gorgeous sunset! It looks divine going down over the vines...

Hope little George is on the mend soon, sorry to hear its been a tough week. That sunset is something else. Honestly, I couldn't think of anywhere more wonderful to walk/jog than your own private vineyard! Enjoy your weekend lovely. Belinda x
ReplyDeleteSorry to hear that you have had such a rough week, I hope that you and George are doing better now. So horrid when someone is not well. Glad that you are getting some time to go huffy puffing, and how great to be able to do it in the vineyard, and as you say, soooo nice not to have people watching you! Makes it so much more peaceful and relaxing. Hope that the long weekend is a good one and that things look up a little next week. xx
ReplyDeleteJust found your blog. I end up running in graveyards because I don't want passerby to see the jiggle! Funny... and I also have a sick two year old, driving me batty this week! Have a good weekend.
ReplyDeleteI hope George is better soon. I can just see you running, I would be doing it the same way!
ReplyDeleteThat's the one thing that I dislike a bit about going for a jog/walk: working up a sweat and huffing and puffing I really don't need an audience for.
ReplyDeleteHaving a vineyard to exercise in is perfect. x
Poor George and poor you too! We have all had those kind of weeks, enjoy running in such a beautiful spot. mel x
ReplyDeleteI was thinking about that today, tha'ts something I need to do too!
ReplyDeleteWell done you! looks and sounds a wonderful time of day for it x
ReplyDeleteOHHH I hope that George gets better here very soon! It is just the worst when your little ones aren't well. You had me chuckling with the jazz hands and jiggling! HA! I too have started brushing off the old gymmies! I am so glad that you are doing this for yourself and what better place to do it than that gorgeous vineyard! That shot is amazing!!!
