For those of you who are regular readers you will know that I love Crown Lynn crockery and Crown Lynn Swans. If you asked Mr H he may say it is more of an obsession!
My granny cabinet is full with my crockery and I think I may have any mentioned in that post that I was "at capacity"........but its always possible to squeeze a few more in. I do know that my collection is quite modest compared to other collectors and I'm constantly telling myself "no" when I see it in shops or online.
I came across these four Crown Lynn saucers and tulip cups last week. I have never seen the pattern before but love love the retro flowers and colours. I would be keen to know if any Crown Lynn collectors out there could tell what the pattern is?
They are all in excellent condition and the pattern on the saucers are raised slightly too, which again I have never seen before.
So after moving a few things around they are now sitting very happily in the granny cabinet.

I'm not the biggest Crown Lynn fan, but have to admit I would have bought those ones if I had seen them. What fabulous saucers they have.
ReplyDeleteThat pattern is out of this world cool! I love it!!! I hope you had a wonderful weekend!!! Nicole
ReplyDeleteOh these are very funky, an absolute must to squeeze in the cabinet. mel x
ReplyDeleteThey are absolutely divine. I love it. XXX
ReplyDeleteOh wow, what a find! Love the set and the pattern. They look really similar to the dinner set I inherited from my Nanna (well, dinner setting for two as my sister and cousin and I took two place settings each). I had no idea what they were so thank you for identifying them for me :) Mime are very similar to yours only in brown and cream. I love the raised texture too. You can see the pattern I have on this post... http://homely-one.blogspot.com.au/2010/08/treasures-from-nanna.html
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your week ahead xx
That is a great post! Thanks for sharing Amanda. The patterns are so similar. I will try and find out the name of yours and let you know xo

ReplyDeleteThey are gorgeous. I love the shape of the cups. A perfect addition to your collection! x
ReplyDeleteLove these colours! Have to admit' I have a Crown Lynn weight on my shoulders at the moment. Am looking to replace 3 brown Crown Lynn Forma plates, about 22cm after my little one accidentally broke one and chopped another at a Bach over the weekend. No love on trademe so far. Any ideas?
ReplyDeleteI will keep an eye out for you. I would save a search on Trademe so you get notification as soon as anyone lists them. They will pop up, I guarantee it! xo
Deletethey are very cool indeed. very pop art/fabric-y looking to my eye-but i've never seen them before. the hubby is a pottery id guru tho so i shall try to remember to ask him when he gets home from work, and let you know x
ReplyDeleteI LOVE the pattern of these too! great find. Tell me, do you love anything Crown Lynn (like plain coloured pieces) or just the patterned Crown Lynn like these? Mel x
ReplyDeleteI do tend to collect the patterned pieces - especially the retro patterns. I do love the Colour Glaze pieces though I'm always coming across (and falling in love with) ones I have never seen before. xo
DeleteWow these are so awesome! Love the plain cups on the patterned plates. Really shows it off :)
ReplyDeleteThe colours and patterns are absolutely beautiful.
ReplyDeleteyep there is always room for more!....no way I would have left those behind...the colours are great x
ReplyDeleteYes... there is a fine line between collection and obsession at times!
ReplyDeleteThat's a beautiful little set. So funky.
Have a great weekend!
You brought back so many memories of lunchtime at Nana and Grandads place with that floral pattern! I love (need) them! Thank you for the trip down memory lane
ReplyDeleteHi there, this pattern is called Florida Orange d957 and the name was recently found at the Portage Ceramic Museum. The green with a brown outline is called Savannah d422.
ReplyDeleteSorry but I forgot to mention that the cups are Pumpkin 3019's the same colour as the orange flower :) Can't see my previous post for some reason ....?
